After so many references, so many mini discussions, and so much hype—we now bring you the goods and discuss one of our favorite new games, Hades! We needed to bring a strong show for such a strong game so we brought back Coco of CocoConfession and Cuphead fame to join us in our deep dive. Our love for this game is palpable so we stray from our standard formula for this episode and just have a solid discussion amongst friends about a game we love. Ep. 597 – Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (Part 1)

For well over a year, we saw the cries of those dozens who listen to this podcast. “#moremiller!”, they cried! Well, he is our foremost Final Fantasy II/IV-ologist, so here he is for Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. The After Years is a pretty lengthy game, so we are bringing back the ol’ two-part TADPOG. We each played a different version of the game (Wii, PSP, and Steam), so we all have a different take on it. Come hang out!

Ep. 596 – Bass Masters Classic (SNES)

Tyler and Dave have played RPGs, football games, soccer games, baseball games, platformers, and puzzlers…but we know what everyone has really been waiting for: some sweet sweet bass fishing content. We are joined by the person we know who craves bass the most, Sandwich Pope Phil Hawkins, to help discuss Bass Masters Classic and Bass Masters Classic: Pro Edition for the SNES! Ep. 593 – Barkley: Shut Up and Jam!

Barkley: Shut Up and Jam! (sadly not Gaiden or Gaiden II) was the game thrown at us by the Randomizer this week. So, of course, we talk a little about Hades and some other pretty good games we have played. There is PLENTY of Barkley chat, Shaq chat, general 90s basketball references, and a deep exploration of rules concerning what happens if you can defeat Sir Charles Barkley in a game of basketball. What do game do we want? HADES! When do we want it? NOW! What did we end up playing? RUN SABER! How was it? …surprising?

This week the Randomizer threw up a total mystery in Run Saber. We may have talked off mic about Hades for an hour before we started but we had a pretty good deep dive into Run Saber, it’s not at all what we expected. So join us as we talk a little Hades, a lot Run Saber and a pretty solid dramatic reading of the crazy story behind this game.
