Ep. 591 – X-Men 2: Clone Wars

The Randomizer tried to throw us X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse which we have already done an episode on, so we countered with a game we were actually interested in: X-Men 2: Clone Wars for the Sega Genesis. IT’S OUR 8th ANNIVERSARY! So we are joined by Brandon of Axelay fame, and his girlfriend Cheryl of Brandon fame, to celebrate. This was a planned thing and not by total coincidence. Ep. 590 – SNES MechWarrior Games

Are you the type of person who likes customizing a sweet car in Gran Turismo? Do you also like battling robots? Do you strongly prefer retro games? Then MAYBE you will be into the games we talk about this week, the SNES MechWarrior Games – MechWarrior and MechWarrior 3050. Not only do we talk about these games but we also discuss getting microchipped by Bill Gates, and how easy it is to ruin a dining room table.

Ep. 589 – Carrier Aces

Were you a middle aged adult in 1995 that was a fan of the SNES and WWII? Then MAYBE you know about Carrier Aces, the game vomited up at us by The Randomizer. Race Drivin’. Yes, that is the title of this SNES game. The pinnacle of creativity – RACE DRIVIN’! Oh boy, is this game everything we thought it would be based on the name alone. We do actually have some friends that are familiar with it so we bring on Sandwich Pope Phil Hawkins and a special letter appearance by Pinball Archmage Chris Edler! Come hear us talk about vasectomies, rogue-likes, Hades, better threats to get your child to behave than Santa Claus, and we do the deepest dive possible into this terrible terrible game. So there are really only two kinds of kids in the world. Those whole like Animaniacs and those who don’t like Animaniacs. Are you with us or against us? Ep. 586 – Dirt Trax FX

Hey! It's racing! But not on cars or carts but dirt bikes! This week the Randomizer gives us Dirt Trax FX. Ever heard of Stunt Race FX? This is sort of like it but not horrible in every way. Tyler and Dave have a deep discussion of Freaky Eaters, Dave promises to finish Super Metroid, he just barely loses out on War of the Gems, and we talk racing on dirt bikes. We feel good about this one, come check it out!

Ep. 585 – Final Fight 3

This episode concludes the Final Fight series on the SNES! We take the power back from the Randomizer and do Final Fight 3 and Final Fight Guy to bring a beloved series to a close. I might say this show is 40% tangents, 50% Final Fight 3, 9% Quizzes, and a whopping 1% Final Fight Guy because that is literally all it deserves. Ep. 584 – Bill Walsh College Football

Okay, clearly we are talking about Bill Walsh College Football. It’s a sports game. It’s a football game. Dave will be sorta into it. Tyler will not be into it. BUT WE BRING ON LORD DENNIS ROBISON WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS ABOUT FOOTBALL AND THIS GAME! We talk about the names of football players, Tony, Tony’s dad, and plenty of other tangents (with some real talk about this game).

Ep. 583 – Street Racer

“Do you like Street Fighter?” The Randomizer asked. “Of course.” we replied. “Super Mario Kart?” “Yes”. The Randomizer laughed and gave us Street Racer, a game that tried to be both and ended up being neither.
