Ep. 351 – Harambe vs. Capcom

On this episode we make a lot of jokes about a beloved ex-gorilla. It’s for a good reason though: we’re talking about Harambe vs. Capcom, the fighting game by Otaku Gang that essentially brings a meme to life. In other news, Dave has a run-in with local law enforcement. We also take a voicemail or two.

Ep. 350 – Primal Rage

Wizened Sage Ian Chandler joins us for our Milestone 350th Episode! We usher in our next 350 episodes by talking about the seven gods battling for supremacy of new Urth. That’s right…we’re talking about Primal Rage for the Sega Genesis. We also talk about the state of the podcast a little bit. There may or may not be a tiny Blizzard vs McFlurry debate.

Ep. 349 – Final Fantasy Mystic Quest

We’re talking about Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, the 1992 Super Nintendo RPG by Square. Well, technically Tyler talks about it; Dave listens and asks questions. We try the new Cheetos Chicken Fries from Burger King. We open an amazing package from Doug. There’s some general Final Fantasy talk liberally mixed in there. We also play some voicemail.

Ep. 348 – Shadowrun (Genesis)

It took us awhile but we were able to fight our way to a cyberterminal in the barrens long enough to upload this episode to the matrix. We’ve finally reached Digital Trends’ 16th-ranked Sega Genesis game: Shadowrun. We also open amazing packages which were sent to us by Ruby Baron Paul Clewell of Loaded Cart Gaming!

Ep. 347 – Reigns

We’re talking about the rogue-like adventure game Reigns, for Steam, iOS and Android. Dave’s back from Dragoncon, so there’s some discussion about board games, card games and Japanese arcade games. There might also be a teeny-tiny amount of Pokémon Go talk. We read a few texts from listeners; we create a new NBC sitcom entitled “Floor To Man”; we list a few of our favorite subreddits.

Ep. 346 – All Calls Between the Fat and Skin

Tyler and Madmen are doing an All Calls show because of Dragoncon 2016.We’re going to get back to the Top 25 Genesis games soon, we promise…but for now, we’re going to delve into Tyler’s lineage, Pop-Tarts, and  happy trails. Also, we spend some time talking about which video games would we make into a movie?

Ep. 345 – Galloping Ghost Arcade and Round One

Even more Blast Processing! Rhythm Master Paul Corn is back with us at TADPOG Blanket Fort to talk about our trip to Galloping Ghost Arcade and Round One Entertainment. We talk about playing classic arcade games and very Japanese arcade games. Don’t worry, Dave is still a Billy Mitchell apostle. We come up with a name for a children’s shooting range, we invent the “vore simulator” genre and we realize a D&D fighting game would be crazy good.

Ep. 344 – Arcade Video & Game Room Expo 2016

Rhythm Master Paul Corn joins us to talk about our very recent trip to the Arcade Video & Game Room Expo 2016 in Rosemont, Illinois. We eat some weeaboo candy, drink some Yoo-hoo and then go straight into a discussion about the convention. We talk about the arcade games that were there, Billy Mitchell, Walter Day, and Man vs Snake.

Ep. 343 – Sword of Vermilion

Get your candles out, it’s time to delve into the dark dungeons of Excalabria. That’s right, we’re talking about Sword of Vermilion, the 1991 Action RPG for the Sega Genesis. Additionally, Tyler reveals that he is an old man and Dave talks about how he almost lost his job. We figure out how Weird Science would work out in real life; there’s a Chuck E. Cheese story; we talk about an upcoming convention; and there’s a quiz segment entitled “Kim Jong-Il or Lil Kim?”.

Ep. 342 – Road Rash II

Slap on your brain bucket and join us as we talk about Road Rash II, one of Gooter-san’s most fondly remembered Sega Genesis games. Does it still hold up today? We also open an amazing package sent to us by the Bloody Handed Otaku Jack of Ziggy Moons Mike H. We spend some time talking about Nick At Nite, Zombie Mayor McCheese, and there’s a killer Homestar Runner impression in there somewhere.
