We’re talking about M.U.S.H.A., the delightfully weird shoot ’em up for the Sega Genesis, which was sent to us by Bloody Handed Otaku of Ziggy Moons Michael. We get into the ins and outs of this game but more importantly: Tyler started playing Pokémon GO, we eat Zebra Nutty Buddies, and we have a serious conversation about the future of calls on the show. Taryn left a voicemail, she’s pissed and she had a sex dream about one of the cohosts.

Ep. 331 – Comix Zone

We’re talking about Comix Zone, the 1995 beat ’em up for the Sega Genesis. Helping us to talk about a fictional comic book writer, is real-life comic book writer, Paul Corn (Archivist Cute Butt returns!) We also talk about booth barnacles, comic books of the ’90s and write a touching love story (erotica) about Paladin Cecil and Dark Knight Cecil.

Ep. 330 – Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker

Bailey Warr, of the Hops and Heroes podcast, joins us to talk about her favorite Sega Genesis game: Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker. Yes, of course we talk about the controversy that swirled around the life of the King of Pop! Tyler tells a story which harkens back to early TADPOG episodes in tone and subject matter, we also gush about Conan O’Brien for a little bit, (and don’t worry) we totally talk about dutch ovens too.

Ep. 329 – The All Calls Show Strikes Back

We’re doing an All Calls Episode! Not just because they’re fun and they’re easy to do…but that doesn’t hurt! We would have named this episode after Adam but we needed to keep the world spinning on its axis. Elsewhere, Tyler has a blister. We both decide that it’s time to allow Raphael to grow. We talk about NSFW subreddits and we talk about southern accents, which of course turns into a discussion about racism and creampies.

Welp. Here we are. We’re talking about Mighty No. 9 by Comcept. We should have launched a wildly popular Kickstarter campaign for this episode but instead we’re just going to do it by request of Paul Andersen. In additional to our “video game review” we also dust off our ol’ snack review segment and talk about Burger King’s Mac ‘n Cheetos. Tyler talks about his new job and we learn that love is lumpy.

Ep. 327 – Ecco the Dolphin

As we continue our play through of Digital Trend’s Best Sega Genesis games, we come to the 23rd game on the list — Ecco the Dolphin. Did you know this game was inspired by LSD? Yeah, it totally was! In addition to talking about the game: Dave shares embarrassing dolphin stories from his youth, we learn about true dolphin lovers, and in a massively controversial move…shun the last two Matrix movies (audible gasp)!

Ep. 326 – Dad Quest

We’re talking about Dad Quest by Sundae Month, the dad-based action game where you assume the role of a dad with a good throwing arm and an indestructible child (thank you, Sandwich Pope Phil for the recommendation). We’re recording this episode after returning home from Paul Corn’s bachelor party in Nashville, where we played The Escape Game. So, there’s some escape game talk; we also express some frustration about the Summer Steam Sale; and we answer some voicemails and text messages.

Ep. 323 – Herzog Zwei

We brush up on our German language skills just a little (thanks, Fishlips Jay) to talk about Digital Trends’ 24th ranked Sega Genesis game, Herzog Zwei. As I’m sure everyone knows, Herzog Zwei is the 1989 real-time strategy game for the Sega Genesis. We talk a lot about strategy games in general: real-time, turn-based, MOBAs, etc. We also take some voicemails, Mason. 1989.
